National Space Centre, Exploration Drive, Leicester, LE4 5NS.
The Space Centre is a fabulous place and very educational. I would say it's best for children of 8 years and older, but my 6 and 2 year old enjoyed it much the same.
There are some dressing up clothes to get the kids involved, as you can see from my cheeky photo of the kids.
It isn't that big,but very surprising what is there; from weather stations, to real life size space shuttles, planets and solar systems and the Sir Patrick Moore Planetarium.
Jake enjoyed playing in the space shuttle, where he had to follow orders given by us in the command centre;"systems check, engage and lift off" with a big bang and puff of smoke!
As for Jessica, she just enjoyed running around pretending to be an alien.
